Artist Statement

Patricia’s work is devoted to material exploration by facilitating what naturally evolves on canvas and paper with a variety of mixed media. She is fascinated by the beauty of organic abstract shapes, marks, lines, muted colors, ink blots, layers, and rich textures and highlights these components within her compositions. She finds inspiration from abstractions of personal experiences, thoughts, feelings, places, nature, travel, maps, art history and visual culture. Her work acts as individual meditations in curated, soft, and natural color palettes offering a respite from the visual saturation and inundation of daily life.
